Rachel Amdur, MD

Rachel Amdur, MD attended medical school and completed residency at the University of Chicago. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She has been a part of the University of Chicago community for a long time and enjoys caring for the students of the University of Chicago. She enjoys see students for continuity care which provides more accessible care and rewarding encounters.

Holly Benjamin, MD

Holly Benjamin, MD attended college and medical school at Northeastern Ohio University. She came to the University of Chicago for residency training in pediatrics and then moved to Lutheran General for a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Primary Care Sports Medicine and serves as the Chair of the Committee on Sports Medicine and Fitness for the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her practice includes management of all sports-related health including orthopedic injuries such as fractures, concussions and return-to-play issues, exercise-induced asthma, women in sports, nutrition, and sports supplements. She performs pre-sports physicals and provides expert advice on rehabilitation for sports injuries.

Dionne Blackman, MD

Dionne Blackman, MD attended medical school at the University of Chicago and completed residency training at Northwestern University. She is board certified in General Internal Medicine. Because of interest in medical education, after residency she underwent specialized training in this area in a two-year fellowship program at the Johns Hopkins University. Since joining the faculty at the University of Chicago in 1999, her academic interests have been medical education research and clinical application of evidence-based medicine. Clinical interests are varied but include a special interest in orthopedic problems and procedures and evidence-based physical diagnosis.

Kristine Bordenave, MD

Director of the Student Care Center

Dr. Bordenave is interested in population, community, cultural, ethnic dynamics and disease prevention, development, arrest progression. Over the past several years she studied behavior modification among various ethnic groups as part of the group visit model and its affect on cardiovascular and diabetes markers. She is also interested in the study of clinical efficiency models that also expand patient understanding of disease and prevention while encouraging their participation in wellness, thus improving clinical outcomes while sparing increasing health care costs. In addition Dr. Bordenave has 10 years experience in Phase two and three clinical trials of novel pharmaceutical compounds and applications.

Kamala Cotts, MD

Kamala Cotts, MD attended medical school at Northwestern University and completed residency training at the University of Iowa. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine. Clinical interests include care of adults with developmental disabilities.

Andrew Davis, MD

Andy Davis, MD, MPH trained at the University of Chicago and the University of Iowa and is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and in Preventive Medicine. He has clinical interests in international/travel health and herbal medicine, and enjoys volleyball and road biking.

Gail DeLuca, MS, APRN-BC

Family Nurse Practitioner

Gail DeLuca is a family nurse practitioner, joining the UC student care center in 2008. She completed her education at University of Illinois at Chicago and since has worked in private family practice while teaching in an adult / family nurse practitioner program. Particular interests include prevention and treatment of dysmetabolic syndrome, diabetes and cardiovascular disease by promoting better health in the young adult population.

Cherie Dupuis, MS, RN, CS-FNP

Cherie Dupuis, RN, MSN, NP is a family nurse practitioner with over 20 years experience. She was educated at St. Louis University and the University of Missouri. She taught nursing school before becoming a practitioner, so she brings the nursing professional skills of listening and caring to the medical management of common illnesses. She especially enjoys working with international students and women's health.

Mari Egan, MD, MHPE

Mari Egan, MD attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and then went to medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency in Seattle, Washington at the University of Washington programs. She completed a fellowship in faculty development and a Master’s in Medical Education. She loves working with students and has been teaching and developing medical student curriculum for over 10 years at Cook County hospital and then the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. Her interests include medical education, women’s health, sports medicine and all aspects of primary care. She loves the Hyde Park community and when not around taking care of her 2 daughters, she is running, reading (in the 57th Street bookstore), picking up garbage in the Wooded Island or gardening.

Keren Hahn-Green, MS, RN, CS-FNP

Keren Green, RN, FNP trained at the University of Michigan in nursing and the University of Pennsylvania to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). As an FNP, Keren is delighted to provide complete care for all internal medicine concerns, but has particular interest in travel health, substance use, HIV/STD care, sexual health issues, gay/bisexual/transgender health, and depression. Keren has also provided primary and acute care at the Chicago Recovery Alliance syringe exchange for the past 4 years.

Chris Myers, M.D., M.P.H   T.M

Christopher Myers, M.D., M.P.H T.M. attended college at the University of Notre Dame and received a combined Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine/Doctor of Medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine and the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He completed his residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Chicago Hospitals and is currently serving as a Fellow in Student Mental Health at the University of Chicago Hospitals. He has particular interests in Student Mental Health and Forensic Psychiatry and will be completing a fellowship next year at the Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship. Outside interests include film, biking, Lionel trains, literature, and travel.

Rebecca Pride, MSN, APRN-BC

Rebecca Pride, RN, MSN, NP enjoys her position as a Nurse Practitioner. She has been at the Student Care Center since 2000. She graduated from Rush University and became certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP). In addition to primary care, her clinical interests include women's health, eating disorders and substance abuse. She is a former Albert Schweitzer Fellow.

Murray Propes, MD

Murray Propes, MD attended medical school at Southern Illinois University and completed residency training at the University of Illinois, Urbana. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine. Clinical interests include medical treatment of addiction.

Stacy Sandbo, MS, RN, C-ANP

Stacey Sandbo, RN, MS, C-ANP received her education from DePaul University and is a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She has been at the University of Chicago Hospitals for the past 8 years and is now pleased to be seeing women as a Womancare Nurse Practitioner.

Maricela Sandoval, MS, FNP-BC

Maricela Sandoval, MSN, FNP-BC received her education at DePaul University and is a certified family nurse practitioner. She has been at the University of Chicago for the past 15 years. She spent a year in Pulmonary and is now enjoying Primary care.

Annie Widlicka MS, RD, LDN, CNSD

Annie Widlicka received her BS in dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed her masters in nutrition science and internship program at Boston University. Annie has been at University of Chicago for 3 years. While much of her time is spent with complicated critical care and post-surgical inpatients you can often find her escaping to the SCC. Her areas of interest include weight loss, healthy eating, disordered eating, mindful eating, weight gain, women’s health, sports nutrition and dispelling all the popular food myths.

Tracie Wilcox, MD

Tracie Wilcox, MD attended medical school at Loyola University. Tracie is an assistant professor of clinical medicine. Her clinical interests include primary care, preventive medicine, women's health, medical education. Tracie works both in the University of Chicago primary care group and Student Care Center.
